Gate Hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. and Sunday 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Admission: Adults, age 13 and over are $8.00; Seniors, 62 & over and youth, 7 – 12 are $5.00; and children 6 & under are free.

Advance Sale - Available Now! Pre-Carnival unlimited ride coupon: Available in advance for $23.00 and is good on all rides for one day only from carnival opening until closing (exchange coupon at carnival booth for wristband). Advance sales begin Friday, June 26, 2009 at Sherm’s Food 4 Less, 2230 Biddle Road, Medford, and at Big R, 7303 Crater Lake Highway, White City, OR 97503. Fair entry tickets available in advance.

Wristbands will be offered everyday during fair for $28 which will be good for that day unlimited rides from carnival opening until closing. |
Special discount days: Tuesday opening night: Concert free (Ozomatli) with paid fair admission. Wednesday is Senior Day and gates open at 10 a.m. and Seniors are free from 10am to 5p.m. – continental breakfast. Sunday is Free Admission (pay $4 for parking or take bus in for $1).
Pre-Sale Fair entry Tickets: Advance sales begin, Friday June 26th for admission tickets and carnival tickets. Tickets are available at Sherm’s Food 4 Less, 2230 Biddle Road, Medford, and at Big R, 7303 Crater Lake Highway, White City, OR 97503. A Season Pass ticket strip is available for $35, which is a strip of 6 Fair admission tickets.
Parking: $4.00 per vehicle Tuesday through Sunday.
Bus Shuttle Transportation: Rogue Valley Charter Services will be running 47 passenger tour buses (with air conditioning and reclining seats) to keep the fairgoers comfortable coming to the fair and going home. Bus transportation is from Crater High School and Sherm’s Food 4 Less each half hour, daily, to the fairgrounds beginning at 10:30 a.m., with the last bus leaving the fair at midnight. Sunday hours of service are 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Cost to ride the bus to the fair is $1.00 … the return trip is free. Please carry exact fare as driver’s do not carry change.
Fair Theme: Jackson County Fair established 1859 - presented by Sherm’s. The County Fair is where our community comes together. Music will be featured live daily on the Dinner Stage starting when the Fair opens. Acts range from bands to dance groups including, singing groups, dance groups. Be entertained daily at the outdoor Community Theater Stage where we are featuring kid’s performance groups that showcase local talent. Acts include dancing groups, gymnastics, martial arts performances, yoga demo, singing, magic shows and more. See www.jcfairgrounds.com “Event Schedule” for days/times.
Laugh and be entertained from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.! Delight in new attractions and thrill rides at the Butler Amusement Carnival which continues through midnight.
Animals and auction activity that will interest all age levels, goes on daily and nightly at the barns (see schedule calendar).
The Lithia Motors Amphitheater Concert Schedule is listed below. All concerts begin at 8:00 p.m. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday shows. Enjoy the performance(s) in reserved seating or on the lawns. Tuesday 7/21, opening night is a free concert with paid fair admission. Pick up reserved seats through sponsor outlet. All other weekday shows 7/22-7/24 are $25 for advance reserved seating and lawn seating is $12 and tickets include fair admission. Saturday night performance, 7/25, is $30 for advance reserved seating and $20 for lawn which includes fair admission. Food & beverage is available from the various vendors inside the Amphitheater.
For the best service, we recommend you go on-line to www.lithiaamp.org to purchase the seat of your choice in advance. Advance purchase concert tickets can be mailed up until 3 weeks before show (2 weeks for Rogue Valley residents), otherwise, tickets will be held in Will Call at Lithia Amphitheater box office and can be picked up the week before fair or before the performance. If you wait to pick up tickets until the day of the show, we suggest you plan to arrive well in advance of show time.
Lithia Amphitheater Box office will be open for your convenience from 11-6 p.m. 7/13/09 – 7/20/09, Monday – Monday before Fair. Pick up advance tickets purchased at Will Call or purchase new concert tickets for the show of your choice. We encourage you to pick up your tickets during this week so you are able to walk through gate at fair easily and with little or no wait in line. The box office is located through Gate 2, look for Will Call signage.

If you need assistance in making this purchase, the Fair office can help during business hours weekday 9-5 p.m. Payments can be made at the Fair office with bankcard or cash. If you have any questions, please call 774.8270 or come by the Fair office (Gate 3 at 1 Peninger Road, Central Point) during business hours Monday - Friday.

Livestock Shows and 4-H Horse Shows are scheduled throughout the week. Horses will show in the Isola Arena and cattle, goats and swine show in the Olsrud Arena. Junior Livestock Auctions will be Wednesday evening, July 22 for the swine and poultry, and Saturday, July 25 for the market beef and market goats.
Grounds Acts: JD Platt & his K-9 Kings will be back this year as one of our favorite acts for the family. JD and his dog, Galaxy placed 3rd on the new dog reality show, America’s Greatest Dog’s which premiered July 10, 2008 on KTVL Channel 10.
Magic is in the air with magicians performing around the clock at the fair. All new this year is Adam the Great, who will entertain all with his antics and tricks. Also featured is Toby Lawrence, a clown from Ringling Bros. Circus who will delight all ages with his frolics.
Have fun watching buskers, or talented street performers, as they dazzle the crowd with songs and other tricks. We will feature Willy’s Washboard Jamboree who will stroll through the crowd and make you laugh. Enjoy the antics of Annie the Clown, who delights all ages with her sunshine, clowning and face painting. We have surprises around every corner including bicycle tricks, juggling, balloon creations and more. Don’t miss a fair favorite in JD Platt and his K-9’ Kings and renown David Nourie and his bicycle stunts.
The Dinner Stage: A potpourri of “free” regional entertainment and is scheduled all week. Live Entertainment includes returning favorites and new entertainment from opening until closing time. You can sit, relax, and enjoy a meal while listening to music. Special highlights include hypnotist, Steve Bayner, and local country western singer, Jason Johnson, and other musical talent.
Community Theater takes place outdoors and will showcase local performers. Tap your feet to several local dance troupes, watch marshal arts demonstrations, and a variety of performers who sing, dance, do magic, and other local acts.
Commercial Exhibits and Food Court: The outdoor and indoor commercial exhibits offer everything from clothes to jewelry, garden art and things for the home, cosmetics and nutritional aids, information on insurance, safe forests, health, armed forces recruitment plus the excitement of a climbing wall, mechanical bull ride and new this year is a pitching cage. Food choices are varied with stands selling ice cream, candy, wraps and sausage sandwiches, barbecue and Thai, Mexican and Italian delicacies…a real flavor of international cuisine.
Open Exhibits: For that fun of an old country fair, walk through the Open Exhibits and 4H Exhibits in the Padgham Pavilion. The talents in our local community are showcased here and include projects in technology, art, plants, flowers, photography, crafts, textiles, baked goods and food preservation. This is a fun walk through for all ages and it’s interesting to see all then handiwork. We invite you to enter your hobby…see Premium book for details. Enter your favorite chocolate cake by 3 p.m. Wednesday July 22, and enter fair for free.
Special Days: Senior & Youth Day, Wednesday, July 22nd. All seniors (62 & up) and youth (12 & under) are admitted to the fair free of charge until 5:00 p.m. Gates open early at 9:30 a.m. with entertainment and activities on the Dinner Stage featuring Rogue Old Time Fiddler’s, Stephen Lord’s one man show and more. Activities include games and prizes, T-shirt design and more hosted by Twin Creeks, an active adult community. Bring the grandchildren and enjoy all the various activities including exhibits, shows and barn animals. All senior facilities are invited to attend, and a free continental breakfast will be hosted by Hometown Buffet and Twin Creeks.
Kid’s Day, Wednesday, July 22nd. All youth, ages 12 and under, are admitted free until 5:00 p.m. Many activities will be on site including balloons, face painting, t-shirt making and fun activities in the Padgham Pavilion. Watch and be involved in programs on our Community Theater Stage. Meander through the barns and enjoy the barnyard animals.
Rogue Valley Rod & Custom Club presents Rolling Through the Decades on Sunday, July 26th. In commemoration of our sesquicentennial celebration, the club will display a mode of transportation representation from every decade since 1859 to present day. This will surely be interesting and will include horse drawn vehicles to modern day green car.
Jackson County Expo Recycles Please recycle your plastic bottles and aluminum cans in the blue recycling bins placed throughout the event. Remember: no cups, no lids and no liquids should be placed in the bins. The Fairgrounds also recycles cardboard, glass, paper, metals, yard debris and other materials during Jackson County Fair, and at all events that take place here. We are proud to be reducing waste, conserving resources and saving money.
